Nestled on a tiny motu in the lagoon of Bora Bora, Swiss-born entrepreneur Fabienne Bratschi stumbled upon an unlikely calling: harvesting sea salt from one of the most pristine waters in the world. What began as a simple experiment, a small basin, seawater, sun, and wind, has evolved into a celebrated gourmet brand that now exports to 14 countries. Together with Export Director Jean-Pierre Saab, Bratschi developed Tahiti Sea Salt to extend this vision across French Polynesia, partnering with remote island communities including Puka Puka, home to fewer than 100 residents and virtually untouched by tourism or pollution.

Every crystal is harvested by hand, unwashed and unrefined, preserving naturally high levels of magnesium and calcium that chefs, among them decorated culinary figures such as Anne-Sophie Pic, prize for both their flavor and their story. From vanilla and chili blends to champagne-infused varieties, each product carries what Bratschi describes as the essence of Bora Bora itself. With California firmly in their sights as a key growth market, the brand is actively seeking distribution partners in the region.
